These handcrafted baskets are truly a piece of art with each one taking several days to make. They are expertly woven by hand by skilled women in Rwanda.
All of our woven baskets are created from dyed natural sisal fibers woven over a core of forest grasses. The weavers begin in the middle of the basket, carefully threading the sisal around and around to create this beautiful design.
Use: They are just the right size for a centerpiece, fruit bowl, wall hanging, hold jewelry or display on a shelf or dressing table.
It is also a perfect gift for a girlfriend, mum or sister or, for a stylish friend who appreciates ethically made home-ware and art.
Safe to use with food
*Made of natural fibers and grass; do not submerge or wash with water. If necessary, use a damp cloth to wipe the basket clean.

I ordered 6 baskets from this seller and they are all beautiful. One of the baskets doesn’t have a loop for hanging and one has the loop in the wrong spot but I think I can create my own loop with a vlittle fishing line.

I was disappointed with this item because it was made out of some kind of polyester looking material which I do not consider a "basket", I have many decorative baskets and none are made of this kind of material. I think for the price of this item there should have been disclosure of the material used. I'm sorry I can not give you a better review.
